- Provincial Conservation or Biodiversity plan
The Eastern Cape Biodiversity Conservation Plan has been launched by the MEC. The plan can be obtained from the Department's Biodiversity and Coastal Directorate headed by Ms Phumla Mzazi-Geja at Phumla.mzazi@deaet.ecape.gov.za.

The Department is currently using the national guidelines developed by DEAT.
- Provincial Application forms relevant to EIAs
Not yet developed, the Department is currently using the national application forms published by DEAT with minor adaptations to insert provincial logo and contact details.
- Contact details of relevant Provincial official dealing with enforcement
The Department has established an Enforcement and Compliance Directorate in Head-Office. This Directorate deals with serious cases, while regional offices are still responsible for routine compliance inspections. Dedicated regional Enforcement & Compliance Officers will be appointed in 2008, in the meantime the regional offices as provided below can be contacted.

The Province is divided into districts, with an office in each district, as well as a head office. Contact the relevant district official to submit an EIA application and deal with enforcement issues.
